Sidebar quick search

#1

Hello,

I often find myself looking for notes from a given notebook that also have a status or tags associated with them, eg. book:"Project A" status:active.

Instead of typing this query out in the search bar, it would be nice to be able to select multiple entries from the sidebar at once, combining notebooks, status and tags into a single search term. It could be done by simultaneously pressing shift while clicking.

Thank you!

Hi Hoopy,

Thank you for the suggestion.
It seems like the search bar needs some improvements to help you input query as there’re similar discussions:

Let me consider about it after finishing current roadmap.

Yeah, it’d be useful and intuitive. However, how do you know this feature?
I’d prefer to have autocompletion instead, which you can input status, tags and notebooks without leaving your keyboard, just like the tag input field on the editor. It’s simple and doesn’t even require learning because autocompletion/suggestion is popular.
Please let me consider it carefully. I’d like to study other apps’ approaches.
I’ll write a draft idea about the improvement.
Thanks!

No worries, take your time! Thanks for the consideration.

Put a hint into the context menu “Add {tag|status} to selection”.
