My suggestion to prevent importing unexpected bulk images would be to check number of images and their file sizes.
I believe this would work well.

Why to go by file size instead of img src location? Apps like BEAR dump images in the same location (subdirectory) during HTML export.

Import images has been supported in v5.2.0-beta.1.
You can try them by installing the beta version (You have to be a paid user).
