An additional status for note priorities would be awesome, e.g. low, normal and high, displayed with proper colors and an option to always display higher ranked notes before others in notebooks and search results.

You can change color of tags in order to represent priorities.
Changing order by priority affects fundamental behavior of the note list, so it needs to be discussed carefully. Let me have time to think about it.
